Google User Data

This page describes how TapBoost accesses, uses, stores and shares information obtained through Google APIs. It supplements our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use; where both documents describe the same practice, both apply.
Limited Use disclosure
In addition to the statement above, and for the avoidance of doubt:
- TapBoost does not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized, foundational or frontier AI/ML models.
- Google user data is not co-mingled with data from other users or organizations, and is not stored alongside such models.
- Google user data is used solely to deliver the user-facing features you have explicitly requested within the application.
- TapBoost never publishes a reply to a Google review without an explicit, affirmative action by an authorized user. There is no automatic publishing mode.

Scopes we request
TapBoost requests a single scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage. This is the narrowest scope that supports the product's functionality.

We do not request any permission that is not necessary for these four features, all of which are prominent and accessible in the application's user interface.
How we ACCESS Google user data
Access occurs only after you complete Google's OAuth 2.0 consent flow and grant the scope above. We store the resulting access and refresh tokens encrypted, and use them solely to call the Google Business Profile APIs on your behalf. We never ask for, store or use your Google account password.
How we USE Google user data
- Displaying your reviews in a single, unified inbox.
- Generating a suggested reply using an AI assistant.
- Publishing to Google the reply that you, or an authorized person in your organisation, has expressly approved.
Current status: this feature is not yet active and no data is transmitted to any model provider. Once enabled, the review text will be sent to our language model provider at inference time, for the sole purpose of producing that specific reply, and the provider's identity will be listed in our privacy policy. It is never used for model training.
How we STORE Google user data
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or above) and encrypted at rest.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted and refreshed through the standard OAuth 2.0 mechanism.
- Access to production systems is restricted, named and logged.
- Reviews and replies are retained only while the connection to your business profile is active.
How we SHARE Google user data
We do not sell Google user data. We do not share it with third parties for advertising, targeting or measurement purposes. The only recipients are the providers strictly necessary to deliver the service, each bound by a data processing agreement, listed in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
Human access
No one at TapBoost reads your Google data, unless we have obtained and documented your explicit consent, it is necessary for security or abuse investigation, there is a legal obligation, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised.
Retention and deletion
- We retain synchronised reviews and replies while the connection to your business profile is active.
- If you revoke access, synchronisation stops immediately and the associated data is deleted within a maximum of 30 days.
- You can request complete deletion at any time, free of charge.
How to revoke access
- From TapBoost: Settings → Connections → Disconnect business profile.
- From your Google account: myaccount.google.com/permissions → TapBoost → Revoke access.
